Brendin Horner was a South African white farmer manager who was found murdered on 03 October 2020 after being reported missing his girlfriend the previous day. Horner's body was found tied to a pole in an open space on the De Rots farm where he worked. Two suspected stock thieves were arrested in connection with his murder.
Horner's death sparked riots from hundreds of people from Senekal farming community with a police car burnt and shots fired at
Senekal Magistrate's Court on 06 October 2020 as some protestors attempted to force their way to holding cells where the suspects were being held.
